2015 Rock the Foundation

We’d like to thank all of our sponsors, attendees, donors and volunteers for making this year’s Rock the Foundation benefit concert our best one yet! Since its inception in 2009, the Barney & Barney Foundation has awarded over $1.7 million in charitable grants.

On October 1st, the Foundation honored seven California non-profits and awarded a total of $200,000 in grants—the greatest amount in the organization’s history. Click here for the press release.

Barrio Logan College Institute received the largest grant of the evening— $50,000 —which will help  support their mission. This San Diego-based organization aims to break the cycle of poverty by preparing underserved and first generation students for college success. Fellow 2015 grant recipients included Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County, Partnerships With Industry, Special Olympics of Southern California, Women Helping Women/Men 2 Work, Urban Releaf and Youth Homes, who were each awarded $25,000 to continue their important work. Check out pictures from the inspiring evening here.
